Wushu is a Chinese Martial Art. In wushu the sashes (Sashes not belts) mean a certain amount of skill and experience, also the sashes represent what forms you are allowed to learn. To compete depends on your sash level at a certain sash you get a competition level, which lets you start going into competitions. In each competition depending on your age you can do a certain form, for example when you are twelve you can do the compulsory form, which in regular class you start at green sash.
